Benefits Of Sailing Clubs In Sports National Grants

Among 1700 sports clubs, Irish Sailing clubs are one of them and receiving latest round of sports capital grants of €56m.

National Yacht Club in Dublin Bay Dun Laoghaire’s is the largest sailing club with €142,375 recipients and increasing more and more teenagers and women’s participation in the sport. Also the Irish National Sailing club which is the biggest sailing center receives €40,058 for purchasing and renewal of sailing equipment and for new boats.
The Royal St. George Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club, Royal Irish Yacht Club, Dublin Bay Sailing Club, Royal Cork Yacht Club receives different amounts for the dinghy renewal program, for purchase 5m RIB and capstan winch, for safety and support fleet, for supporting craft for teacher water sports.

The program, which is organized, provides funding to the government for capital projects to sport and community organizations at local, regional and national level. The 2017 round application closed in February with a record number of 2,320.

Other clubs like Foynes Yacht Club, Sligo Yacht Club, Lough Derg Yacht Club, Lough Ree Yacht Club achieved a large amount of Physically Disabled Sailing, for accessing for all programs, replacing old destroy electrics and purchasing a new one boats.

By this much amount of funding it is easy to provide financial assistance throughout different organizations and nations of all the countries. And participation in sport for both physical and mental people is benefited.
The grants are also excellent news for our communities, both rural and urban, as club sport is a superb way to bolster local pride, affinity and inclusion.”

A further €4m has been set aside for regional grants. These allocations are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
